Ozempic Face

Ozempic face treatment at Gambhir M.D. on Central Park South, New York City uses Sculptra, Thermage, microneedling, dermal filler, and lasers.

Rapid weight loss, including weight loss on GLP-1 medications, takes volume from the face along with everywhere else. The result can look hollow through the temples and cheeks, and a little loose. The answer is not to wait and do nothing. While you are still losing, the valuable work is building collagen and elasticity, so the skin has more capacity to rebound as your face changes. Replacing lost volume is the part that holds up better once your weight is steady. At our New York City practice we will tell you which stage you are in, and what is worth doing now.

Services

Sculptra

Sculptra prompts your body to rebuild its own collagen gradually, over months, rather than simply filling space. That makes it valuable during weight loss as well as after, because collagen built now gives the skin more to work with as the face changes. It is usually a series of treatments.

Thermage

Thermage is a heat based collagen stimulator that firms mild to moderate looseness through the face and neck, with no needles and no downtime. Started during the weight loss process, it supports the skin’s elasticity so it has a better chance of rebounding.

Microneedling – SKIN PEN

Microneedling creates tiny channels in the skin that trigger collagen production. Over a series of treatments, firmness and skin quality improve. It is worth starting while you are still losing rather than waiting until afterward.

Lasers – Moxi, BBL, HALO Tribrid

As the face changes shape, existing sun damage and uneven tone often become more visible. Moxi is a gentle resurfacing laser for early sun damage and texture. BBL addresses redness and brown spots. HALO Tribrid combines gentle resurfacing with deeper collagen support, which makes it useful during the weight loss process as well as after it.

PRF

PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is drawn from your own blood and used to encourage collagen and healing, often paired with microneedling to support skin quality while the face is changing.

Dermal Filler

Where volume is needed in a specific area, filler restores it right away, with immediate and controllable results. This is the part we generally time for once your weight is steady, because volume placed into a face that is still changing may not sit the same way later. Used carefully, in the right places, it does a great deal.

Alastin Restorative Skin Complex

Supports your skin’s own production of collagen and elastin over time, which is exactly what is being lost as the face changes shape.

Alastin Renewal Retinol

Encourages cell turnover and supports the skin’s structure. Used at night, starting carefully.

Alastin HydraTint Pro Mineral Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 36

Sun damage breaks collagen down. Daily sunscreen helps preserve what we are working to rebuild.

What happens outside the office matters here more than usual, because the face is responding to a change happening in the whole body.

Start now, rather than after

Skin that has been looked after through weight loss rebounds better than skin that has not. The habits below matter most while the change is happening, not once it is finished.

Protein with every meal

Rapid weight loss costs lean tissue as well as fat. Steady protein through the day helps protect it. Your prescribing physician can guide the right amount for you.

Strength training

Resistance work helps preserve muscle during weight loss, which supports how the face and neck sit. A mix of strength training and aerobic exercise is best. Build the routine under your doctor’s guidance.

Sun protection, every day

Sun breaks down the collagen we are working to build. Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every morning, even on cloudy days, and reapply when you are out.

Sleep, hydration, and stress

The basics matter. Steady sleep, water through the day, and managing stress all show on the skin over time, and they show faster when the body is already under the strain of losing weight.
